Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates:
COVID-19 interferes again with our plans for the International Clumped Isotope Workshop:
Israel is going into a second lockdown, which means that our ability to hold a conference in Spring 2021 is at risk.
We therefore decided to postpone the ICIW meeting again, to Fall 2021 (likely October or November, we’ll know more in a couple of months).
We’ll keep you updated HERE as more information becomes available.
The 8th International Clumped Isotope Workshop
Since 2010 the fast-growing community of scientists interested in clumped isotopes meet every ~1.5 years for a few days’ workshop, to discuss methodological development and inter-laboratory standardization, learn about exciting new applications, and share ideas. These International Clumped Isotope workshops (ICIW), are structured around several sessions of lectures and posters, with a large portion of the time being devoted to formal and informal discussion, and have become a corner-stone in community building, starting from one laboratory in Caltech to a few dozen laboratories worldwide.
The meetings have been a productive intermingling of early career and established scientists, and have resulted in significant papers and in the establishment of analytical best practices.
The 8th ICIW will be held on September 14-17 2020, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
